HALIFAX ACADEMY

Located in Daytona Beach, FL, Halifax Academy provides a small, safe, accredited college prep environment.  Our mission is to provide an equal opportunity for all our students, in conjunction with their families, to attain a quality education through individualized programs of study – from remedial to honors curricula – using innovative teaching methods and extracurricular activities customized to each child’s needs and goals. We offer a safe, family oriented environment where the development of a positive self-concept – intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally – along with the academic needs of each student is met on their own personal level of understanding.  As we work in partnership within the school community, we promise to:

·         Promote the improvement and enhancement of our students' self-esteem, self-concept, and self-confidence.

·         Promote the improvement and enhancement of our students' motivation and to inspire our students to give their best efforts in all tasks they undertake.

·         Provide a safe, non-competitive, encouraging, nurturing, and positive learning environment.

·         Develop individualized programs of study for each student based upon their level of ability, with the goal of remediating weaknesses and improving strengths by providing a curriculum which is challenging, yet allows the student to be successful as lifelong learners.

·         Provide a foundation of skills that will enable all students to be successful in their future as contributing members of society.
